The RN First Assistant carries out functions that will assist the surgeon in performing a safe surgical procedure with optimum results for the patient. The RN First Assistant practices perioperative nursing, functions directly under the supervision of the surgeon during the surgical procedure, and does not function simultaneously as the scrub nurse.

Cancellation Policy: Travel Cancellation: Client has the right to cancel a Subcontractors Employee the equivalent of six (6) shifts in a thirteen (13) week time-period without penalty. Client's right to cancel under this provision will be limited to contracted staff and will not apply to per diems. Subcontractor may cancel a scheduled shift only when Subcontractor is unable to find an acceptable substitute and provides written notice to Client. For purposes of subcontractor's cancellations, an email to Clients will constitute written notice. In the event the Subcontractor cancels a request within two (2) hours of the scheduled shift, Subcontractor shall pay a cancellation fee equal to two (2) times the hourly bill rate charged to Client, which are in effect at the time of the cancellation, for each of the position(s) Subcontractor is cancelling.
