Job Summary The Manager of General Outpatient Program is responsible for coordinating the General Outpatient Services Department, which includes outpatient counseling and medication management services. The manager also coordinates psychiatric rehabilitation support services to help clients with significant mental health concerns improve their functioning within their communities. These services are delivered by Rehab Counselors, Educational/Vocational Specialists, Case Managers, and Peer Specialists, and include coaching in social awareness, skill development, family and friend relationships, community integration, symptom management, daily living, and access to educational and vocational opportunities. The staff work collaboratively with outpatient therapists, psychiatrists, and advanced practice nurses to meet clients’ overall needs. Responsibilities Develop and oversee service workflow for client intake, assessment, treatment planning, care coordination, and discharge, ensuring timeliness for meeting certification and licensing standards. Ensure required screenings and assessments of clients are completed through the person-centered treatment planning process, assisting and training staff as needed, and use data to assist staff in determining client goals and needed services. Develop and implement a psychiatric rehabilitation services model that supports clients with serious mental illnesses who are not eligible for or do not need ACT or ICTT levels of care. Support staff in implementing evidence-based practices or treatment options associated with behavioral health disorders and integrate them into individual practices. Train and support psych rehab staff in solution-focused interventions to assist clients with social, interpersonal, self-care, daily living, and independent living skills to restore stability, foster functional gains, and adapt to community living. Assist GOP and psych rehab staff in identifying resources, natural supports, and developing goals and objectives to use them effectively. Implement strategies for engaging families in treatment and supporting clients. Establish relationships and communicate with other providers for care coordination, particularly health care providers. Oversee the discharge of clients to ensure that appropriate services are in place to maintain progress. Provide supervision to staff, including coordinating team conferences, department meetings, and agency meetings. Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely documentation in the health record. Enhance and maintain professional expertise through educational activities and trainings. Ensure staff meet requirements for data collection, client contact time, and agency productivity targets. Complete administrative tasks such as approving payroll, mileage, benefit time, and others. Follow agency policies and standards for client rights and confidentiality. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Master’s level Licensed Independent Practitioner (LMHC, LICSW, LMFT). At least 3 years of experience working in a behavioral health or human services setting. Experience in developing and/or coordinating programming with the targeted population. Special Requirements Knowledge of SMI, SPMI, and SUD populations. Understanding of mental health and substance use diagnoses. Knowledge of community resources for clients and families with behavioral health disorders. Advocacy and coaching skills. Valid driver's license and the ability to use a vehicle in accordance with Center requirements. Automobile liability insurance coverage for the vehicle used. Ability to work collaboratively as a team to coordinate care for clients with intensive behavioral health needs.
