Must-Have:
Previous cath lab experience
Pediatric experience preferred but not required
Experience with McKesson cardiology PACS preferred but not required


Description:
The Cath Lab is separate from Interventional Radiology and Electrophysiology.
Techs will scrub, monitor hemodynamics, and circulate during procedures.
On average, the lab handles 10 to 15 cases per day.
A primary charge nurse will be present from 0600 to 1530.
The charge nurse will not routinely complete cases but will take call.
Cardiologist physicians are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Call requirements are weekly and on a rotational basis.
The average call schedule includes 8 to 9 shifts per month.
Response time for call is 30 minutes from the time of page.
Techs are not required to float at this time.
Scrubs are provided by the facility.
Orientation usually lasts between 3 to 5 days.
There is a mandatory call list utilized when staff cannot fulfill their call shift.
