Senior Accountant

Base Pay $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 / Year Other Compensation Annual Bonus Job Category Accounting Employee Type Full Time Required Degree 4 Year Degree Position Purpose The Senior Accountant will oversee all aspects of revenue accounting, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing. This position will also be responsible for complex journal entries and assisting with the preparation of financial statements, while also providing analysis to Plant General Managers. General Job Responsibilities Revenue accounting Journal entries Major tasks, responsibilities, and key accountabilities Drive the revenue close cycle, ensuring deadlines are met while invoices are accurate and timely. Review accounts receivable activity of accuracy and proper financial treatment. Prepare reports related to outstanding receivables and oversee collections. Manage complex journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts. Create and distribute monthly financial statements to Plant Managers. Assist with accounting-related system enhancements and process improvements. Additional Responsibilities Mentoring other accounting staff Assisting with annual budget and audit Requirements Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting required 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting Solid analytical, problem‑solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively across departments and explain financial information clearly Working Conditions Employees: Universal Pure facilities may process, pack and or store products containing allergenic food ingredients as referenced by FDA, occasional exposure may occur, inform your direct manager of any food allergies. Office environment with a standard full-time office hour. Occasional overtime may be required during busy periods, such as month-end or year-end financial close, or during audits.
