Job Title: LTC RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Long-Term Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: - Experience in passing medications - Supervisory skills - Previous nursing home experience preferred - Self-motivated Description: This position is for a Long-Term Care Registered Nurse. The role involves administering medications and providing wound care, foley care, and ostomy care. The RN will supervise Certified Nursing Assistants and Team Members. Nursing home experience is beneficial. Medication dispensing will utilize blister pack cards. On-site pharmacy is available. The facility has a capacity for 38 residents. Rooms are private. The nurse-to-resident ratio during day and evening shifts is 1 nurse to 2-3 CNAs for 20 residents. During night shifts, the ratio is 1 nurse to 2-3 CNAs for 40 residents. Common diagnoses include COPD, dementia, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and congestive heart failure. There are no IVs or titratable drips in this role. Nurses will not read cardiac strips. Physician availability is present after hours. Block scheduling is available based on need. Weekend and holiday work is required every other. No call or standby requirements are associated with this position. There are no floating requirements. Scrubs will be provided. Additional orientation shifts will be available as needed.
