School Social Worker

Soliant has partnered with a school district in Denver, Colorado to hire a school social worker. The School Social Worker provides comprehensive social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health support to students in grades. This role focuses on removing barriers to learning by addressing social, emotional, family, and community factors that impact student success. The School Social Worker will collaborate closely with educators, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student well-being and academic achievement.


Qualified applicants must have a Master of Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), a Colorado social work credential through the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (LSW or LCSW), and a Special Services Provider (SSP) License with School Social Work Endorsement issued by the Colorado Department of Education

• Provide individual and small-group counseling to support students experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges.
• Support students coping with trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, family disruption, or other life stressors.
• Teach and reinforce social-emotional learning (SEL) and coping strategies.
• Respond to student crises, including mental health emergencies, self-harm concerns, and behavioral escalations.
• Participate in risk assessments and develop safety plans in collaboration with school staff and families.
• Provide post-crisis support and stabilization services for students and school communities.
• Follow mandatory reporting requirements related to abuse, neglect, or safety concerns.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Section 504 meetings as appropriate.
• Contribute to evaluations by providing social-emotional and environmental background information.
• Collaborate with school psychologists, counselors, and educators in multidisciplinary assessments.
• Monitor and document student progress toward intervention goals.
• Connect families with community resources such as housing assistance, food programs, healthcare, and mental health services.
• Consult with teachers and staff on behavior management strategies, trauma-informed practices, and student support plans.
• Collaborate with school psychologists, counselors, nurses, and administrators as part of student support teams.
• Support implementation of MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) and PBIS frameworks.
• Complete required documentation for counseling services, interventions, and referrals.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, Colorado Department of Education regulations, and district policies.
