Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

This position is within a Labor and Delivery unit featuring:

• 10 Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) beds
• 3 Triage beds
• 2 Operating Room (OR) suites
• A dedicated team of approximately 30 Registered Nurses (RNs)

Shifts are structured as follows:

• Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 2 LDR RNs, 1 Nursery RN

The standard patient-to-nurse ratio is:

• 2 Laboring patients per 1 RN

Modern equipment includes:

• GE Monitoring Systems
• Novii Wireless Monitoring
• Spectrum IV Pumps
• CADD Epidural Patient-Controlled Analgesia (PCA) devices

The unit uses Meditech for electronic medical records management.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred qualifications include:

• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Common procedures performed in the unit include:

• Inductions
• Cesarean Sections (C/S)
• Spontaneous Vaginal Deliveries (SVD)

Candidates should possess strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.

The dress code requires:

• OR scrubs while on the unit

Note: Unacceptable attire includes any clothing outside of professional scrubs.
