Senior Analyst, Corporate, Infrastructure and Project Finance Group Location: Chicago, IL, US Business Unit: Fitch Ratings About the Team Corporate Infrastructure and Project Finance Group (GIG) covers approximately 700 credits primarily across transportation, energy, social infrastructure, sports facilities, and the UK whole‑business securitization. The group consists of roughly 80 analysts based in Fitch’s offices in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Austin, Toronto, London, Paris, Milan, São Paulo, Bogotá, Monterrey, Ciudad del México, and Sydney. The GIG North America group covers more than 300 public and private issuers in the U.S. and Canada. How You’ll Make an Impact Lead ratings analysis, execution, and research on North American infrastructure transactions across digital infrastructure, alternative/core+ infrastructure, transportation, and energy sectors. Evaluate innovative credit structures and participate in global criteria development. Identify relevant trends, assess their credit impact, and highlight these trends in updated industry and market‑focused reports and presentations. Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data and legal documents to produce ratings, publish credit reports, and contribute to special research reports. Co‑work with senior team members to meet with senior management of entities and/or project sponsors, investment bankers, and financial advisors, to produce ratings and reports for general publication. Serve in a high‑visibility role with solid growth potential. You May be a Good Fit if 3+ years of project finance and infrastructure credit experience gained in a bank credit department, rating agency, buy‑side credit department, or similar environment. Strong writing and verbal communication skills. Excellent modelling skills and thorough familiarity with spreadsheet‑based financial models. Ability to read and fully comprehend complex structures and ask probing questions to issuers and their advisers. Demonstrated ability to lead and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Capability to meet tight deadlines and a strong degree of flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as required. What Would Make You Stand Out Rating agency experience. Ratings advisory work. A deep understanding of and keen interest in infrastructure and project finance. A professional background in capital markets and/or credit analysis. Experience interpreting complex legal documents such as bank agreements and bond indentures. A record of leadership and a proven ability to interact proactively and successfully with various stakeholders, both inside and outside the organization. CFA designation. FOR NEW YORK AND CHICAGO ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $110,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job‑related factors.
