Investigative Analyst

The Office of the New York State Attorney General seeks an Investigative Analyst for the Law Enforcement Misconduct Investigative Office (LEMIO) in New York City. This position investigates allegations of police misconduct including corruption, excessive force, and abuse, managing active cases, reviewing evidence, conducting witness interviews, and preparing investigative reports. The role reports to a Senior Investigative Analyst and works in coordination with attorneys to identify patterns of misconduct and recommend reforms. Key qualifications: Bachelor's degree and at least two years of relevant work experience in civil rights or investigative capacity Valid New York State Driver's License with ability to operate a motor vehicle and availability for regular travel Experience investigating police misconduct, using law enforcement databases, and knowledge of policing practices and applicable laws Strong interpersonal and interview skills, particularly with sensitive topics and historically marginalized communities Excellent writing, reasoning, and organizational skills with sound judgment and ability to handle confidential information Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and social media research #J-18808-Ljbffr
