Nuclear Medicine TechnologistLocation: Lansing, MIWe are seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic studies and imaging procedures in nuclear medicine. Your technical expertise will ensure the production of high-quality images while adhering to established policies and procedures.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesSpecialize in performing diagnostic studies in nuclear medicine imaging.Obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, and address patient concerns to ensure their comfort and confidence.Operate and maintain assigned nuclear scanning imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.Perform diagnostic studies, including the preparation and measurement of radioactive isotopes in specified body areas.Administer medications/substances within the technologist's scope of practice as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and yourself.Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.Maintain accurate documentation, records, and logs in both paper and electronic formats.Manage an adequate supply of consumables for quality testing.Perform routine maintenance and function checks on imaging equipment according to established protocols.Assist other areas of radiology as assigned.Perform other related duties as required and directed.Submission RequirementsGraduation from an AMA-approved school of nuclear medicine.Registration in Nuclear Medicine with the ARRT or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).Current BLS certification.
