Senior Java DeveloperGenesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ, Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role is responsible for hands-on application development to support current and target processes. The ideal candidate will partner with multiple technology teams to implement the target architecture and migrate to a strategic platform, working extensively with big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.Responsibilities:Perform hands-on application development to support current and target processesPartner with multiple Technology teams to implement the target architecture and migration to the strategic platformIngest and incorporate new sources of real-time, streaming, batch, and API-based data into the platformLoad and manage large data sets in HadoopCompute complex logic in Spark platformsOptimize data pipelines and queries for better performance and scalabilityIdentify and resolve complex data engineering issuesRequirements:9+ years of experience in end-to-end Java application developmentStrong core Java skills including multi-threading, collections API, and JDBCExperience with frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and HibernateStrong computer science fundamentals in design, data structures, and algorithmsKnowledge of performance tuning data-intensive applications, including performance profiling, memory optimizations, and identifying improvementsExpertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as data integration and transformation toolsStrong knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks, such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Apache Hive, or Apache FlinkStrong problem-solving abilitiesLeadership and mentoring skillsExcellent communication skillsBS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative disciplineDesired Skills:Background in enterprise stress testingKnowledge of risk (credit, operational, and market)Knowledge of cloud computing or distributed computing5+ years of experience in Java UI technologies (HTML5, Angular JS, Backbone JS, Bootstrap, etc.)Experience with software development in an Agile environmentPay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
