Base pay range $42.00/hr - $50.00/hr Technical Designer – Intimates Team | In-Office (NYC) Contract Role via Russell Tobin & Associates Location: New York, NY 10038 (4-5 days onsite) Pay Rate: $42-$50/hour (W2), depending on experience Contract Length: 2-month contract (non-extendable) Our client – a globally recognized, iconic fashion brand known for setting the standard in fit, comfort, and quality in intimate apparel and loungewear – is seeking a seasoned Technical Designer to join their team in New York City. About the Role: This is an individual contributor position responsible for executing the technical design process from development to final fit. You will play a critical role in ensuring products meet the highest standards of fit and comfort, working closely with design, merchandising, and vendors. Responsibilities: Participate in and/or lead garment fittings, writing detailed fit comments and pattern corrections. Develop, adjust, and communicate technical specifications and tech packs using Flex PLM, Centric, Excel, and Illustrator. Collaborate with factories and vendors to ensure design integrity, product quality, and cost targets are met. Evaluate and analyze garments to develop accurate fit specifications. Support and sometimes direct Assistant or Associate Technical Designers. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or equivalent experience. Minimum 7 years of experience in technical design, with a strong focus on intimates and apparel. Proficiency in Flex PLM, Centric, Excel, and Illustrator. Must have experience leading fittings and writing comprehensive fit comments. Comfortable working onsite 4-5 days per week.
