Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Shift: 12hr Evening/Nights; 1500-0330 x3 shifts per week

Start Date: 08/02/2026

Job Description:

The registered nurse will work in a 29-bed Emergency Department serving the southern half of Johnson County, which is a chest pain and primary stroke center. This role involves handling daily patient volumes of around 120, caring for some inpatient boarders, and adapting to rapidly changing conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department
  • Adapt to rapidly changing conditions and maintain a positive attitude
  • Comfortably handle inpatient boarders
  • Work up to 3 weekend shifts per pay period
Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year experience working in the ED within the last 12 months
  • License/Certification: KS or Multi State RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS & Conscious Sedation Competency
  • Preferred additional certification: TNCC
