High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency dedicated to treating and preventing substance use disorders and mental illness. With programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts, High Point provides a full continuum of care including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services.

Requirements:

• Must always present as courteous and professional;
• Maintains and submits any current Licensure or Certificate necessary for the performance of the position;
• Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks;
• Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion;
• Knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train HPAO Electronic Health Record (EHR);
• Must have the ability to work with others in a cooperative and collaborative manner;
• An understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues and/or self-help programs;
• Understand and maintain therapeutic boundaries;
• Reinforce rules in a respectful manner;
• Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder and HIPAA Regulations;
• TB/Flu and Covid19 Assessment ;
• Annual Completion of the HPAO crisis de-escalation program;
• CPR Certification;
• Successful completion of all trainings upon hire and annually as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Crisis intervention; Maintain assigned caseload; Providing direct care to patients/residents including assessments, individual counseling, discharge and aftercare planning, treatment plans and updates, weekly progress notes, daily groups facilitation, group note completion, and completion of bio-psychosocial assessments;
• Making referrals when appropriate; Responsible for each assigned patients/residents' medical records. All records are to be professional, complete and thorough with entries made in a timely manner;
• Responsible connecting patients/residents with aftercare services prior to discharge and aiding the resident and his/her family access services when appropriate;
• Communicating/involving family in treatment at patients/residents' request;
• Attend and participate in all unit, facility meetings, case conferences, Treatment Team meetings, and mandatory trainings, as directed by the Clinical Supervisor/Director;
• Responsible for continued education in the field of substance use and related courses.
• Always utilize standards precautions;
• Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients as defined by the patient's rights;

Salary Range: $28 - $32 HR (commensurate with experience)

Any compensation range provided is an estimate based on current market data. The actual offer may fall above or below this range, depending on the candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location.
