Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Kamuela, Hawaii. This travel assignment begins 06/22/2026 and runs for 16 weeks, with guaranteed 36 hours per week and a rotating shift at a Short Term Acute Care Hospital. Weekly pay ranges from $2,234 to $2,352.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for laboring patients, postpartum mother–baby dyads, and assist with newborn stabilization as needed.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, manage labor progress, respond to obstetric changes, and assist with deliveries when required.
- Administer medications, perform routine assessments, manage fetal monitoring, and document care per unit protocols.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, nurses, and support staff; coordinate with transport services for high-risk stabilization and transfer as needed.
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to Baby-Friendly practices; maintain flexibility to support unit needs, including potential supportive roles as needed.

Requirements
- Active Hawaii RN license (current and unencumbered)
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
- Certifications: BLS/HCP, ACLS, NRP, and C-EFM required to apply; C-EFM certification from NCC required; STABLE preferred
- Experience: Two (2) or more years of full-time Labor & Delivery nursing experience; mother/baby couplet care and newborn stabilization experience preferred
- Additional: All certifications/licensure must be valid throughout the duration of the contract; compliance documents must be uploaded to Medefis 10+ days before start; No RTO approved for the initial contract; Nursys report required for submission
