Travel RN jobs at Blue Hills freestanding emergency department (FSED) in Roanoke, VA place you in a modern emergency care setting. The Blue Hills FSED is part of a 354-bed community hospital with Level III trauma center designation and is a teaching hospital. The FSED features eight private treatment rooms and advanced diagnostic capabilities. Roanoke is located in the heart of Virginia’s Blue Ridge region, just a short drive from Salem, VA. The area is known for the Roanoke Star, a landmark atop Mill Mountain, and offers access to scenic hiking trails and vibrant local culture. Salem is a city of 25k, the Roanoke County seat, and features a charming downtown that combines historical elements with a delicious food & drink scene, and rich arts & cultural amenities. You must have an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or a compact state, at least 1 year of recent emergency department experience, and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience with Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) systems and strong triage and acute care skills are recommended.
