Breast Imaging Technologist

Location: Edwards, CO

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Days, 4 x 10-hour shifts

Job Description: The Breast Imaging Technologist performs various breast imaging procedures, including mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, and breast ultrasound, while adhering to MQSA and ACR guidelines. Responsibilities include patient education, maintaining quality control, and managing the workflow within the department to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform breast imaging procedures with an understanding of breast anatomy and pathology.
• Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with MQSA and ACR guidelines.
• Educate and guide patients through imaging processes to support their breast health.
• Coordinate breast imaging appointments and work collaboratively within the department.
• Oversee medical supply inventory and departmental spending.
• Participate in the orientation and training of new staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience preferred in a healthcare setting.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification in Mammography required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
