Survey Cad Technician

Survey Cad Technician/Civil DrafterWe are seeking a skilled Survey Cad Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will post-process and analyze survey data, prepare stakeout sketches, point files, and DXF files for all construction stakeout needs, output accurate and professional As-Built Drawings, perform accurate volume calculations as needed, and prepare accurate cut-sheets and sketches for a variety of field tasks. Proficiency in AutoDesk Civil 3D is essential, and you should have a clear understanding of survey points, point groups, .CSV's, coordinate systems, and the ability to calculate pipe slopes. You should also be able to organize DWG files using Dynamic Blocks, Layers, and Colors, and work collaboratively with other team members to ensure project requirements are met.ResponsibilitiesPost-process and analyze survey data.Prepare stakeout sketches, point files, and DXF files for construction stakeout needs.Output accurate and professional As-Built Drawings.Perform accurate volume calculations as needed.Prepare accurate cut-sheets and sketches for various field tasks.Collaborate with team members to ensure project requirements are met.Perform utility calculations, PDF overlays, create working files, storm/sanitary calculations, and 3D modeling.Ensure constructability of designs for underground work.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoDesk Civil 3D.Understanding of Survey Points, Point Groups,.CSV's, and Coordinate Systems.Ability to calculate pipe slopes.Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D (points, take out, linework, working files).Experience with As-builts and basic CAD knowledge.Survey experience is a significant plus.Strong mathematical and analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in PC software and systems such as Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Dropbox, and Microsoft Teams.Experience with Agtek Earthwork 3D for Surface creation and Earthwork Calculations is a plus.Ability to perform material take-offs from plans.Ability to read and understand all civil, structural, and architectural plans and specifications.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Bridgewater, NJ.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.06/hr.
