Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a Level II trauma center, requiring 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT certification in MRI.

Details

• Inpatient MRI department in a fast-paced, high-volume Level II trauma center serving a 500-mile radius
• 3x12-hour variable shifts including weekends
• Schedule may include major holidays with potential to pick up one additional shift per schedule period
• On-call requirements to be discussed during interview
• Facility may float staff to other areas based on competency level and organizational needs
• Epic EMR used for charting, with training provided during orientation or candidates may test out

Requirements

• ARRT certification in MRI required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required
• Experience with GE or Philips scanners required
• Minimum of one recent 13-week travel assignment within the past year required
• Must be able to care for patients ranging from infant to geriatric populations

Additional Information

• Produce diagnostic MRI scans and assist radiologists and referring physicians with MRI procedures
• Operate MRI scanning equipment and make technical decisions to ensure optimal image quality
• Maintain accuracy and effective communication while working efficiently under pressure
• Minimum of 2 major holidays required during the assignment
• Facility may cancel full or partial shifts with 48 hours notice for low census per 13-week contract
• 60-mile radius requirement with no local candidates accepted
• Returning travelers must have a 13-week break after completing a prior contract
• Requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration and will not be added to the end of the contract
