Location: Atlanta, GA
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM, with occasional weekends

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team in Atlanta, GA . This role is responsible for performing general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs to ensure campus buildings and grounds remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering quality work and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor plumbing repairs and replace plumbing fixtures, valves, and related components.
• Perform minor electrical repairs and replace electrical fixtures, devices, and appliances.
• Complete basic carpentry repairs on doors, windows, hardware, screens, and furniture.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings and identify maintenance or safety concerns.
• Complete work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with painting, facility setups, and special event preparations.
• Coordinate with staff regarding room setups and maintenance needs.
• Work cooperatively with custodial staff and other trades to complete maintenance projects.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and building occupants.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance or related experience .
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry repairs.
• Valid Georgia Driver's License .
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and work orders.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work both indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.

Compensation

• $20.00 per hour
• Full-time hours
• Day shift: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Monday through Friday with occasional weekends
