Work Schedule: Monday to Friday hours vary between 6:00am-6:00pm; additional hours and rotating weekends may be required. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. California state–issued Phlebotomy license (CPT). Preferred Qualifications One or more years of experience as a phlebotomist. Current or prior experience with Labcorp. Additional Job Standards In lieu of the state license requirement, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet the requirement. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English. Six months or more experience with geriatrics and pediatric patients. Pass a standardized color blindness test. Be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Compensation and Benefits Pay Range: $21.00-$33.00 per hour. Float Incentive: Additional $1.50 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Quarterly incentive bonus program: Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled for less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan.
