Junior Family Law Associate

Salary:
$95,000-$100,000 base salary + performance bonus + comprehensive benefits package
 
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Junior Family Law Associate to join its growing legal team in either Philadelphia or Wayne, Pennsylvania. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with 1-4 years of legal experience who are looking to build a long-term career in family law.
 
Candidates with prior family law experience are encouraged to apply, but our client also welcomes attorneys with a civil litigation background who are interested in transitioning into family law through mentorship, hands-on litigation experience, and ongoing professional development.
 
Job Responsibilities:

• Handle a variety of domestic relations matters, including divorce, custody, child support, alimony, and property division.
• Draft motions, pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Prepare clients and cases for mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies alongside senior attorneys.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and guidance.
• Manage an active caseload while balancing deadlines and court schedules.
• Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to provide exceptional client service.
• Accurately track billable time and maintain case documentation using the firm's case management system.

 
Qualifications:

• Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania.
• 1-4 years of legal experience.
• Prior litigation or courtroom experience.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities.
• Family law or domestic relations experience is preferred.
• Mediation, negotiation, or settlement conference experience is a plus.
• Experience with legal case management software (such as Clio) is a plus.
