Part-Time Art Instructor - Cary, NC

Location: Children’s Art Classes – Cary, NC Start Date: Immediately Pay: $25–$35/hour (based on experience) We are currently accepting applications to fill our Part Time Art Instructor position. We are looking for a certified art teacher with a minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience to lead some of our camps this summer and take on classes for our school year curriculum. All supplies and a full, structured curriculum are provided. Core classes are small and capped at 13 students per class. You will receive a W-2. As the school is a new location, art teacher(s) will also assist the owners in recruiting new students. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or a BFA (required) Minimum of 5 years of in-classroom teaching experience Curriculum delivery experience Strong classroom management skills Skills & Attributes Passion for teaching and inspiring young artists—from littles to teens A team player who cares about students, quality of education, coworkers, the community, and our school’s success Effective and exceptional classroom management and leadership skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational abilities Integrity, transparency, and honest communication—please do not misrepresent yourself A background check is required. Additional Requirements Must be able to work two week nights and Saturdays.
