Registered Nurse - CVICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing services to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). Ensure optimal patient outcomes through expert clinical care, assessment, and treatment of critically ill cardiac patients.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced cardiac and ventilator support, including Impella, IABP, ECMO, and other devices.
• Monitor and titrate vasoactive medications to maintain patient stability.
• Perform procedures such as intubation, extubation, bedside bronchoscopy, and line insertions.
• Document patient care accurately in the Meditech EMR and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Respond promptly to patient changes, adjusting care plans accordingly.

Qualifications:

• Hold valid ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Demonstrate knowledge of caring for intubated patients and patients on vasoactive meds.
• Possess at least 1 year of ICU experience, preferably in CVICU.
• Ability to care for device patients and perform relevant procedures.
• Be a team player willing to float to MICU and CVIMU as needed.
