Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for post cardiac cath, post-surgical, and high-risk medication patients including those on cardizem, heparin, nitroglycerin, insulin, ketamine, and lidocaine drips
• Care for respiratory patients on NIPPV modalities including BiPAP and AirVo
• Obtain and document initial and ongoing patient assessments, identifying trends that require clinical intervention
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care in accordance with nursing standards
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
• Perform Point of Care testing procedures and document timely, appropriate interventions

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state RN license
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current knowledge and clinical skills appropriate to the patient population served

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a telemetry or step-down unit setting
• Experience managing patients on high-risk drips and NIPPV respiratory support
• National professional nursing certification or advanced nursing education (BSN or MSN)
