Enhance your expertise in litigation and M&A practices.Job DescriptionOverviewManage business development initiatives for litigation and M&A practices in a high-performance law firm environment.Collaborate with partners to create and execute strategic business development plans.Conduct industry research to identify new opportunities and support client relationship management.Prepare pitches, RFP responses, and marketing materials showcasing the firm's expertise.Coordinate with global teams to ensure consistent execution of business development strategies.Oversee legal directory submissions and maintain accurate records of BD activities.Provide guidance and supervision to junior team members, fostering their professional growth.Ensure compliance with firm policies on information security and confidentiality.Key Responsibilities & DutiesDevelop and implement business development strategies aligned with litigation and M&A goals.Support partners in maintaining communication with referral sources and prospective clients.Identify strategic sponsorships and new business opportunities tailored to practice objectives.Lead the creation of high-quality pitches, proposals, and marketing collateral.Collaborate with communications and events teams to enhance practice visibility.Guide junior team members in developing their skills and executing BD initiatives.Ensure timely updates to marketing materials and maintain accurate BD records.Leverage competitive intelligence to support practice positioning and client development.Job RequirementsBachelor's degree required; JD, MBA, or other applicable graduate degree preferred.Seven+ years of business development experience in a law firm or professional services environment.Strong understanding of litigation lifecycle, terminology, and regulatory environments.Proficiency in CRM, research platforms, and standard office applications.Excellent writing, editing, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive requests and deliver quality work in a fast-paced environment.Experience preparing pitches, proposals, and legal directory submissions.Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism when interacting with senior lawyers and staff.
