Biogen seeks an Automation Engineer II or III to support manufacturing operations at its Research Triangle Park biotech site. The role involves configuring and maintaining DeltaV DCS and Syncade MES systems, authoring recipes, executing validation activities, and troubleshooting production issues in a GMP environment.

Responsibilities

Configure and maintain DeltaV DCS and Syncade MES software for process improvements and equipment implementations
Author, review, and approve MES and DCS documentation including validation deliverables
Create and execute software testing scripts and support validation activities
Execute change controls and troubleshoot system issues during testing and manufacturing operations
Identify optimization opportunities and lead small to medium engineering projects

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline
0-2 years GMP manufacturing experience (Engineer II) or 2+ years MES/DCS experience (Engineer III)
Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
System validation, change control, and troubleshooting expertise (Engineer III)
Experience with DeltaV DCS and/or Syncade MES platforms
Understanding of GAMP 5 principles and regulated compliance (Engineer III preferred)

Compensation: $77,000-$100,250 base
