Overview Job Title: Grants & Contracts Specialist Department: Post Award Services Worker Type: Regular Pay Type: Salary Position Salary Minimum: $50,000 Position Salary Maximum: $53,000 Salary will be commensurate with the level of the position, education, and experience. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Benefit Eligible: Yes Screening Date: 2026-05-19 Job Description Summary: The Grants & Contracts Specialist manages the full lifecycle of external funding—from initial proposal preparation to final closeout. You will serve as the primary point of contact for administrative and financial matters, ensuring all activities comply with organizational policies, donor requirements (e.g., Uniform Guidance), and federal/state laws. Responsibilities Post-Award & Compliance: Review grant agreements and contracts for red-flag clauses; set up financial tracking in the accounting system. Monitoring: Track expenditures to ensure funds are spent according to the approved budget and timeline. Sub-award Management: Oversee any pass-through funding to partners, ensuring they are also in compliance. Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit periodic financial reports to funders. Audit Readiness: Maintain records for annual audits or donor-specific site visits. Closeout: Reconcile final accounts and ensure all deliverables are met before the grant period ends. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or related field AND 2+ years of experience in grant or contract administration. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree AND Non-Profit or Higher Education experience. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Proficiency in Excel and specialized systems like Grants.gov, eRA Commons, or ERP software (NetSuite, Workday, etc.). Extreme attention to detail.
