Estimator – Aerospace Manufacturing

Location: Southwick, MA

Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday

Salary: $90,000–$105,000 annually

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our aerospace manufacturing team in Southwick, MA. This direct-hire position is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for precision-machined aerospace components by analyzing customer drawings, specifications, manufacturing processes, and material requirements.

The ideal candidate has prior aerospace estimating experience, understands CNC machining and manufacturing processes, and is experienced creating Bills of Materials (BOMs), manufacturing routings, and complete quote packages.

• Review and acknowledge incoming customer Requests for Quote (RFQs) .
• Analyze customer blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation to develop accurate manufacturing cost estimates.
• Prepare labor, material, machining, tooling, outside processing, and lead time estimates.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing routings for aerospace components.
• Obtain pricing and lead times from outside vendors and suppliers.
• Prepare complete quotation packages for management review and customer submission.
• Evaluate machining methods, manufacturing processes, and equipment capabilities to determine the most efficient production approach.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, and quality teams to ensure estimate accuracy and manufacturability.
• Maintain estimating records and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow all company safety policies, quality procedures, and 6S workplace standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Previous estimating experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry is required.

• Experience preparing estimates for precision-machined metal components.

• Ability to read and interpret customer blueprints, GD&T, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.

• Working knowledge of:- Bills of Materials (BOMs)

  • Manufacturing routings
  • CNC machining processes
  • Aerospace manufacturing methods

• Familiarity with machine capabilities, cycle times, tooling, and manufacturing costs.

• Process Engineering experience is a plus.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple RFQs and shifting priorities.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
