Schedule: 1st Shift / 1er Turno

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced sit-down forklift operator to join our cold storage and food distribution warehouse. The primary focus of this role is to safely load, unload, and stage pallets of food products, such as ice cream, in a refrigerated environment while following all safety and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload pallets in a refrigerated warehouse environment
• Pull and stage orders using RF scanners from freezers to docks, ensuring accurate order fulfillment
• Maneuver the forklift efficiently in tight spaces and racking systems within cold storage facilities
• Follow safety protocols for working in extreme temperatures, including wearing layered clothing, winter gloves, and coats
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the work environment
• Comply with company processes for order picking, staging, and loading
• Participate in safety briefings and pass required drug tests and background checks prior to starting
• Submit resume for interview and forklift skills test

Required Qualifications

• Over 1+ year of recent forklift operating experience
• Certified forklift operator, specifically for sit-down forklifts
• Experience operating a sit-down forklift (model/type: Forklift - Sit Down, Forklift - Sit Down/Montacargas - Sentado)
• Ability to work in cold storage and refrigerated environments
• Availability for first shift / 1er Turno
• Ability to pass oral 9-panel drug test and background check
• Ability to submit resume and pass forklift skills test

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in extreme temperature environments
• Experience navigating tight spaces and handling racking systems efficiently
• Familiarity with RF scanners and order staging processes in cold storage

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Operating forklift in refrigerated conditions, requiring layered clothing and winter gear
• Lifting and moving pallets of 20 lbs or more
• Standing, walking, and maneuvering forklift in tight spaces in safety-sensitive environments
• Following PPE and safety procedures at all times
