Assistant Project Manager

The Assistant Project Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting construction projects within the property industry, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. This position is ideal for individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about project management in construction. Our client is a respected General Contractor in Yorktown Heights specializing in large-scale ground-up construction projects throughout the Tri-State area. Their portfolio includes healthcare, education, residential, and commercial projects valued at $25M+. Description The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for the following: Assist in managing ground-up construction projects from start to finish Support subcontractor coordination and project scheduling Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Help track project budgets, costs, and procurement Coordinate with Superintendents, Architects, Engineers, and Owners Attend project meetings and maintain meeting minutes Ensure project milestones and deadlines are met Support closeout documentation and turnover processes MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. Profile A successful Assistant Project Manager should have: 2-5 years of construction management experience with a GC Ground-up construction experience preferred Exposure to healthcare, education, residential, or commercial projects Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar software preferred Construction Management or Engineering degree preferred Job Offer Competitive salary between $70,000 and $100,000, depending on qualifications.
