Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) RN Largo, Maryland. The role provides direct patient care in a cardiovascular intensive care setting, including immediate post-operative management for cardiac surgery patients and care of critically ill adults and geriatric patients. Candidates must bring their license on the first day and provide day-shift coverage in a unit focused on advanced monitoring and complex cardiopulmonary therapies.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days 3x12 Days (07:3020:00); minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active RN license (MD or Compact); Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); willingness and ability to support patient ratios up to 1:2 on CVICU/CCRU and 1:3 when floated to IMC; comfort with the cardiovascular intensive care setting including postcardiac surgery care
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge experience; prior charting experience; prior travel experience
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required within the specialty, including IMC and lower-acuity as needed.
• Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend required. Holidays required as they fall, as scheduled.
• Additional Information: Immediate post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients; 1:1 care for the first 12 hours; ventilator management with respiratory services; use of advanced monitoring and support therapies including FloTrac (if applicable), continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)/Impella support; groin/radial artery management (including fem stop and TR bands).
