New Business Policy Representative - Life Insurance - Cincinnati, OH

Job Overview The New Business Policy Representative is responsible for managing life new business applications from submission through policy delivery. The role accurately interprets and fulfills all processing requirements, and acts as the liaison between underwriting, agents, and medical vendors to obtain necessary documentation for underwriting decisions. It follows industry and state regulations, audit recommendations, and compliance directives. The representative must learn and retain knowledge of all products, read sales illustrations, and understand policy riders and their functionality. Associates serve as the front line of communication with field partners, maintaining readiness on our call center line, answering agent phone calls, and monitoring email inboxes, replying to all requests within 24 hours. They work with other departments within the scope of case management. Hybrid location: Regular in‑office work (Lincoln, NE or Cincinnati, OH) combined with partial work from home. Responsibilities Research customer needs and develop informed, innovative solutions while maintaining financial and procedural integrity. Field customer inquiries with empathy and patience. Possess working knowledge of organizational administrative functions and systems. Communicate with producers and customers, providing support on their cases. Meet or exceed service standards for accuracy, turnaround time, and overall quality. Handle account reconciliation using appropriate systems. Coordinate with Legal and Compliance departments for complex cases and complaints. Complete special assignments and projects within provided timeframes. Stay abreast of product and case education, identify and resolve system and processing issues. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. 0–2 years of related experience; 1 year in a customer service environment highly preferred. Experience in financial services or insurance preferred. Strong technical and typing skills; multitask between systems. Clear, concise, professional verbal and written communication. Ability to work independently with professional judgment. Excellent time‑management and organizational skills; prioritize effectively. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
