divh2Production Specialist 1st Shift/h2pProduction Specialist 1st Shift/ppChaska, MN 55318/pp$20.00-25.00/hr/ppFullTime/ph3Job Description/h3pAbout the Opportunity:/pp Job Title: Production Specialist/pp Pay Rate Range: $20.00-$25.00/hr/pp Location: Chaska, MN/pp Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM with optional overtime./pp Position Type: Temp to Hire/ppRequirements and Qualifications:/pp High school diploma or general education degree (GED)./pp One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience./pp Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, procedures, short correspondence, and memos./pp Ability to write simple correspondence./pp Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization./pp Ability to measure quickly and accurately to 1/16th of an inch./pp Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or blueprints./pp Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions./pp Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables./pp Experience and confidence with hand and power tools./pp Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear./pp Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl./pp Occasionally required to sit./pp Frequently must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds by self./pp Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus./pp Communicate and collaborate effectively, working well with others and contributing to a positive team environment./pp Adapt and problem-solve, handling change, identifying issues, and finding solutions./pp Demonstrate reliability and initiative, showing up consistently, taking ownership, and seeking opportunities to improve./pp Deliver quality results safely and efficiently, meeting productivity standards while following proper procedures./ppDuties and Responsibilities:/pp Participates in the production and assembly of custom water purification systems by utilizing existing mechanical skills, as well as applying new industry specific skills that will be taught on the job./pp Reads and interprets engineering drawings to determine size and type of material needed./pp Configures items for proper fitment./pp Bolts, glues, screws, or otherwise fastens parts together./pp Fabricates according to specifications, drawings and/or verbal direction./pp Operates machines that are needed to perform production work of assembling parts./pp Tests fitment of parts before modifying pieces and parts./pp Measures, cuts and fastens plumbing materials such as: PVC pipe, Stainless steel pipe, copper pipe or other galvanized materials./pp Fastens and secures customized production material onto custom frames./pp Tests equipment to ensure proper functionality./pp Assists with preparing systems and loose equipment to go out for shipment./pp Helps with receiving material and items and follows proper procedures./ppMiscellaneous Duties and Responsibilities:/pp Other tasks, duties and projects as assigned./pp Organizing production parts and inventory according to established practices and procedures./pp Participates in cross-training activities to be able to assist in other areas of production when needed./ppDiscover Award Staffing: At Award Staffing, we believe that work should be more than just a paycheckit should inspire, empower, and create a sense of purpose.
