Aging Services Program Manager

SALARY
The minimum salary is $61,954.88 annually.
This position is not eligible for overtime (exempt); however, the city has a compensatory time leave program for employees that grants leave time for hours worked in excess of forty hours.

The purpose of this position is to develop, implement, and manage recreation, social, and wellness programs for senior adults sixty (60) years and older.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, recreation, therapeutic recreation, health and human services, or another related field
- Four (4) years of related experience
- Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience
- Additional years of related experience may substitute for years of education
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develops, coordinates, implements, manages, and evaluates facility's programs, activities, and special events
- Provides leaderships for the programs and staff at the Lexington Senior Center
- Oversees and supports programming, services, and staff at designated satellite locations
- Programming includes recreation, fitness, art, music, and special events
- Manages and oversees budgeting, purchasing, and allocation of all supplies, equipment, and inventory needed for programs and activities
- Hires, trains, supervises, reviews, and evaluates the work of subordinate staff and contractors
- Establishes, reviews, and updates program¿s goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
- Performs data entry, reporting, scheduling, payroll approval, and other administrative duties as needed
- Communicates and maintains relationships with program participants, community partners, agencies, internal and external customers, and other LFUCG divisions
- Assists with room preparation and set up for daily activities, meetings, and special events
- Performs related work as assigned

SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
All Certifications and licenses must be maintained as a condition of employment.
- Valid driver's license
- CPR, First Aid and AED Certifications must be obtained within the first six (6) months of employment
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
All positions require drug testing, criminal records check, Central Abuse Registry check, Nurse Aide Abuse Registry check and APS Caregiver Misconduct Registry check before employment and may require a post-job offer physical as stated in Ordinances 21-14(b), 22-13 and 23-16.
