Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ED experience and prior travel contract history.

Details

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• Care for critical care, psychiatric, and pediatric patient populations
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• Every other weekend or based on department needs
• Every other holiday rotating with regular staff
• May require floating onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• At least 2 prior travel contracts required
• Experience caring for critical care patients with sound clinical judgment and documentation
• Ability to care for psychiatric and pediatric patient populations
• Strong team collaboration and clear, timely communication skills
• Epic EMR experience
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Provide critical care nursing across a diverse ED patient population including psychiatric and pediatric cases
• Escalate concerns appropriately and seek support to ensure patient safety
• Radius rule applies which may affect pay rate eligibility for local candidates
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position given the requirement for prior travel contract experience
