Laboratory Technician I, Overnight Sequencing, M-F 7PM - 3:30AM EST

Entry-level laboratory technician position in overnight sequencing at GENEWIZ by Azenta. Responsibilities include sample processing, DNA sequencing template preparation, purification, and loading samples onto sequencing instruments. Position operates Monday through Friday, 7 PM to 3:30 AM EST in Waltham, MA.

Responsibilities

• Sort and process incoming customer samples daily
• Prepare sequencing templates through preparation, amplification, and PCR purification
• Purify sequencing templates and load samples onto sequencing instruments
• Maintain work area cleanliness and communicate with customers and internal teams
• Prepare samples for shipment to New Jersey location

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 1+ years laboratory work experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and laboratory best practices
• Ability to lift 30 lbs and work standing/sitting for extended periods

Compensation: $20.67 per hour
