This role is integral in supporting both patients and providers, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care.Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):Prepare and stock exam rooms to ensure readiness for patient careRoom patients, check vital signs, and assess patient needs to communicate effectively with providersAssist providers with procedures and patient care as neededAdminister injections, perform EKGs, and coordinate referralsTriage patient phone calls, review test results, manage pharmacy calls, and review medicationsComplete patient documentation accurately and in a timely manner within the Electronic Health Record (EHR)Perform point-of-care lab testing, prepare specimens, and maintain compliance with CLIA standardsCommunicate effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and external partners to support patient care and outcomesEnsure adherence to clinical standards including OSHA, CLIA, ADA, and VFC program requirementsMinimum Qualifications:Certified (CMA) or Registered (RMA) Medical AssistantGraduate of an accredited ABHES or CAAHEP Medical Assistant programHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAmerican Heart Association BLS certification requiredKnowledge of standard clinical, lab, and medical proceduresComputer literacy and accurate data entry skills requiredFamiliarity with VFC, CHIRP, and VOMS systems strongly preferredMinimum of 3 years' experience in an ambulatory care setting preferredWhy You'll Love Working HerePurpose-driven work that directly impacts access to care across our communitiesRobust benefits package (medical, dental, vision) designed to support you and your familyGenerous PTO because we believe caring for others starts with caring for yourself401(k) with employer contribution to help you plan for what's aheadLife and disability coverage for peace of mindHere, you are not just filling a role—you are helping shape healthier communities and advancing equitable care every day!
