Overview The Project Leader manages operational planning, schedule integration, and execution coordination activities supporting mission-critical work execution. This position serves as the coordination and integration lead between Work Control, Planning, Construction, Project Controls Engineering (PCE), Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Project Leadership to ensure Integrated Work Documents (IWDs), schedules, and field execution activities remain aligned, current, and execution-ready. The Project Leader establishes coordination requirements, oversees schedule integration activities, facilitates issue resolution, and supports execution readiness through structured planning oversight, schedule management, and leadership reporting. The role is responsible for maintaining visibility into operational priorities, identifying schedule risks and planning gaps, and ensuring timely escalation of delays, resource constraints, and execution impacts. What You Will Do Lead coordination and integration activities between Work Control, Planning, Construction, Project Controls Engineering (PCE), SMEs, and Project Leadership to maintain alignment between IWDs, schedules, and field execution activities. Apply project management and operational planning principles to maintain situational awareness of IWD schedules, planning progress, execution milestones, and operational priorities. Review and update schedules throughout the week, identifying delays, conflicts, resource constraints, and last-minute changes requiring coordination, mitigation, or escalation. Prepare and distribute schedule materials, planning documentation, and status updates for Planner Update Meetings and other operational coordination meetings. Partner with PCE and operational leadership to reconcile schedule impacts, emerging delays, execution conflicts, and priority adjustments affecting mission-critical work activities. Facilitate SME coordination and technical engagement to support IWD development, planning issue resolution, and execution readiness. Oversee planning issue resolution activities by identifying planning gaps, coordinating technical support, and ensuring timely communication of critical schedule or execution changes to stakeholders and leadership. Provide structured reporting and operational representation during daily and weekly meetings to ensure continuity, visibility, and leadership awareness of planning status, execution risks, and operational constraints. Monitor project and operational performance while managing schedule updates, planning actions, tracking systems, and execution readiness activities under established processes and priorities. Integrate operational planning and schedule coordination with Laboratory priorities and commitments (safety, security, environmental compliance, quality assurance, and business operations). Identify potential schedule risks, planning conflicts, resource constraints, and execution impacts while developing mitigation strategies and recommending corrective actions. Serve as a primary point of coordination and communication between planners, construction personnel, SMEs, PCE, and leadership to maintain operational alignment and execution readiness. Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Primavera P6 for reporting, schedule tracking, planning coordination, and operational integration activities.
