Corrections experience is a plus. We offer competitive wages, great benefits, and much more!What you'll doAssess the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and provide written assessments upon admission, during confinement, and at dischargeObtain health histories, summarize assessment data, and make triage decisions that are documented and communicated to the care teamDevelop and implement individualized treatment programs utilizing approved protocols as directed by the Medical DirectorAdminister medications using proper techniques including IV therapy and all other approved routes; obtain diagnostic tests per physician ordersImplement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans as ordered and refer patients to appropriate providers as neededDocument all nursing encounters using SOAP charting and communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, correctional officers, and department headsProvide leadership to nursing staff, identify problems, and recommend improvements in patient care, procedures, and equipmentParticipate in quality assurance chart reviews, in-service education, and support all OSHA and employee safety programsPerform within the limits of the state practice act, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and all CBH Medical policies and proceduresPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedQualificationsCurrently licensed Registered Nurse in the state where duties are performed (Required)BLS/CPR Certification (Required)Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program; Baccalaureate degree preferred but not requiredMinimum two years of clinical experienceCorrections experience a plusBenefits:Dental insurance with a generous orthodontic creditVision insuranceCompany-paid life insurance and extensive ancillary coverage optionsPaid time offFlexible scheduleEmployee assistance program (EAP)Continuing education creditsTuition reimbursementReferral programJob Type: Full-time (8 Hour Shifts)Night Shift (6:30pm - 7:00am)
