Travel Ultrasound Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shifts are from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. On-call availability is required for 2-3 nights per week, which may include any night of the week.

Job Description

The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for providing timely diagnostic ultrasound services to both inpatient and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and following departmental protocols. The role includes performing various sonograms, including abdominal, pelvic (gynecological and obstetrical), transvaginal, and small parts examinations (thyroid, breast, and scrotum). The technician should also be proficient in ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct abdominal, pelvic, and small parts sonograms.
• Perform ultrasound-guided procedures as needed.
• Provide diagnostic imaging services in compliance with departmental protocols.
• Collaborate with a Radiologist to ensure proper assessments are made.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ARDMS registered in general RDMS and vascular (RVT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in obstetric ultrasound procedures is required.
