Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Kansas City, MO
Job Type: Full-Time
Shifts: Days & Nights Available | Rotating Weekends

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join in Kansas City. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment caring for adult patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $30.04 – $41.50/hour (based on experience)
• Sign-On Bonus:
• • Up to $30,000 (Nights – 2-year commitment)
  • Up to $10,000 (Days – 2-year commitment)
• Shift Differential: $4/hour (nights & weekends)
• Relocation Assistance: Available (case-by-case)

Unit Details

• Unit: Med-Surg (Neuro, Ortho, Nephrology specialties)
• Patient Ratio: 6:1
• Beds per Unit: 49

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor condition changes
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care
• Administer medications and treatments safely
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Supervise and delegate tasks to support staff

Clinical Environment

• Care for adult patients with medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurological conditions
• Exposure to post-surgical cases (general, urology, vascular)
• High-acuity Med-Surg unit (sicker-than-average patients)
• Minimal drips; stable patients within a Level I Trauma setting
• Strong opportunity to develop advanced clinical and monitoring skills

✅ Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (or compact license)
• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (does not need to be recent)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BLS certification required upon hire
