Civil Engineer

Licensed Professional Engineer - Civil Engineering

We are seeking a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to join the Civil Engineering team of a well-established multidisciplinary engineering and design firm. This role will focus on civil engineering design, land development, project documentation, and coordination with surveying and other technical departments.

The ideal candidate will have experience in civil site design, stormwater management, utilities, grading, and permitting processes. Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain civil engineering drawings in accordance with established CAD standards.
• Design and develop subdivision layouts, site plans, roadway designs, utility layouts, and grading plans.
• Prepare stormwater management plans, sewer and water designs, land development plans, and onsite septic system designs.
• Assist with AutoCAD drafting and Civil 3D design documentation.
• Prepare engineering reports, presentation drawings, project exhibits, and agency submittal materials.
• Support permit applications and coordinate documentation for regulatory approvals.
• Conduct site visits, soil testing, and field evaluations as required.
• Perform construction inspections on a weekly, monthly, or as-needed basis.
• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, field personnel, and project teams to ensure successful project completion.
• Assist with project scheduling, fieldwork coordination, and other engineering-related activities.

Required Qualifications:

• New York State Professional Engineer (PE) License - Required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
• Experience in civil site design, land development, stormwater, utilities, grading, and septic system design.
• Knowledge of local, county, and state permitting processes.
• Experience preparing engineering reports and agency applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to project sites for inspections and field coordination.
