Overview Job Title: Supervisor. Location: Eaton, IN. Reports To: General Manager. General Purpose of Position The primary role of a Production Supervisor at the Eaton Paper Mill is to ensure the workplace is safe and to manage and coordinate the efforts of hourly mill employees; ensure that production specifications are met with a high standard of quality; ensure compliance with all standards, policies, regulations, for the safe, environmentally sound production of a quality product. The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting Ox Industries culture and key behaviors. In addition, as a shift supervisor, you will be responsible for oversight of work for all hourly production employees. Responsibilities Administers and models safety in his/her area of responsibility; participates in and enforces the safety program for the shift employees; reviews safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all shift employees. Ensures compliance with all applicable OSHA and plant safety standards. Coordinates maintenance activities on shift. Oversee and ensure the conformance of work in progress and finished good product to company, industry, and customer specifications at minimum cost and with optimum efficiency. Proven ability to troubleshoot production and quality related issues, determine root cause and implement sustainable solutions. Direct, train and coach employees. Direct and execute daily production requirements. Meet or exceed productivity goals. Maintain waste generation (trim, cull), at or below budgeted standard. Inspect the finished product to ensure quality specifications are met. Management of employees to include performance feedback, coaching for improvement and discipline, as appropriate. Maintain housekeeping excellence. Ensure all production and employee reporting is completed timely and accurately for each shift. Participate and ensure department remains compliant with industry and company audit standards. Maintains compliance with all environmental policies and procedures; ensures that all city, county, state, and federal regulations are followed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 1+ years in supervisory or management role. Experience in manufacturing environment—paper industry is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position. #J-18808-Ljbffr
