divh2Hourly Driver Traffic/h2pCarpenter Co is currently seeking a Class A CDL Driver - Local/Hourly to join our Tupelo, MS manufacturing location. The successful candidate will be expected to safely and efficiently deliver finished products to customers at various locations./ppCarpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operational excellence. As an Hourly CDL Driver, you are expected to communicate on a daily basis with multiple levels of Company personnel and most importantly with external customers. A Class A CDL Driver performs work in the setting of a Company truck with exposure to weather conditions and various customer locations. Major challenges involve on time delivery of products to customers while complying with various state and Federal laws and regulations, such as DOT regulations, etc./ppYour additional responsibilities as an Hourly CDL Driver will include:/pulliReceive and understand instructions from Dispatcher, Traffic Manager, and external customers./liliMaintain a positive relationship with all customers./liliAbility to communicate and relay information to others./liliPossess and maintain a clean MVR within Companys guidelines./liliProperly follow administrative procedures regarding billing and manifest paperwork./liliTransport and deliver materials and services per customer requirements./liliKnow, understand, and strictly adhere to all State and Federal DOT rules and regulations governing the operation of tractor trailers and transportation of Company products and materials./liliReport conditions that may affect the operations of the trucks and trailers./liliMaintain accurate DOT Logs./liliDeliver product as scheduled./liliIn compliance with DOT, both Federal and State, and adhering to all rules and regulations thereof./liliAssist in loading and unloading./liliLifting more than 75 lbs./liliRequired to perform checks to equipment and/or vehicle used at start, during, and end of use./liliFueling and checking of equipments fluid levels required of unit, or units used./liliNote any errors or customer concerns to Company management as soon as practical./liliMust maintain highest respect of the customer and meeting their needs./li/ulpstrongSkills/ Requirements/strong/pulliHigh School Diploma or GED/liliMust have and maintain a valid CDL drivers license/liliWorking knowledge of all DOT Regulations/liliPrevious employment checks must be acceptable/liliBasic reading, writing, and math skills/liliAbility to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and call-in with little notice/liliAbility to lift up to 75 pounds/liliMust be able to follow written and verbal instructions/li/ulpNo phone calls or agencies, please./ppCarpenter Co. is an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or other legally protected characteristic./ppCarpenter Co. conducts pre-employment drug testing on all applicants that receive and accept a written offer/ppEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
