Lower School Teacher

St. Martin's Episcopal School Metairie, LA United States St. Martin’s Episcopal School is now accepting applications for a full‑time Lower School teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year. Qualified candidates should hold at least a bachelor’s degree and have teaching experience. This opportunity will require a faculty member to possess the ability to be flexible and work effectively as a team member. Responsibilities Developing and implementing lesson plans that align with our curriculum standards. Creating a positive classroom environment. Utilizing effective teaching strategies and techniques to help each child by providing individualized support and guidance to students as needed. Working closely with and maintaining positive relationships with the pre‑kindergarten team, learning specialist, and other Lower School teachers. Partnering and communicating regularly and effectively with parents. Writing report cards and maintaining student records. Continually improving skills and knowledge in early childhood education. Showing enthusiasm for working within a faith‑based educational setting and supporting the school’s mission and values.
