Practice Manager - Lombard

Employment Type Full‑time. Compensation Annual pay range: $70,204 – $101,406, based on experience, skills, abilities, and education. Location and schedule may affect the specific rate. Job Purpose and Function In partnership with the chief of staff, the Practice Manager plays a vital role in the hospital, managing day‑to‑day operations so the medical team can devote their time to delivering the highest quality veterinary care. Your medical practice management skills will drive business results while your people leadership skills develop associates and foster an engaging team environment. You will ensure clients and patients have a positive experience and help optimize growth of both the veterinary and pet services businesses. Key Responsibilities Interview, hire, and develop associates. Educate associates on Banfield guidelines, Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care, and hospital services. Budget and plan hospital finances. Support daily operations, staff scheduling, and continuing education. Coordinate time‑off, manage continuing education needs, and maintain compliance. Evaluate hospital processes, progress and productivity. Collaborate with veterinary medical team, field and corporate leaders. Required Qualifications Education/License : Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience : Three years of related experience, including direct supervisory experience (hiring, associate development). Core Competencies Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Problem‑solving and conflict‑management experience. Leadership and analytical know‑how.
