Salina Subaru, a part of the Midway Motors Auto Group, is looking for a motivated Service Advisor to join our team! This position works directly with customers to understand their vehicle’s needs, recommend maintenance and repairs, and provide an excellent customer experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities include:

• Welcome customers and gather information about their vehicle and service needs.
• Schedule appointments and communicate with customers throughout the repair process.
• Explain recommended repairs, maintenance, costs, and estimated completion times.
• Recommend additional maintenance and repairs based on manufacturer guidelines and vehicle needs.
• Prepare accurate estimates and obtain customer authorization for repairs.
• Communicate with technicians and the Service Manager to keep work moving efficiently.
• Keep customers informed of changes to repairs, costs, or completion times.
• Ensure work orders are accurate and completed properly.
• Maintain excellent customer satisfaction and a professional, organized work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Starting pay: $50,000/year + performance-based bonus opportunities

Previous automotive dealership or service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.

Job Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES)

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1-year relevant experience
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Three or more years sales experience in the automotive industry
• Previous work experience working directly with the public, selling or influencing others, establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships, and communicating with persons outside the organization via phone, face-to-face, email and/or social media.
• Attention to detail
• Customer-focused with the ability to communicate directly with customers, explaining vehicle details, recommendations and costs
• Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to enter data and process information
• Cooperative spirit that requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying good-natured, cooperative attitude; being sensitive to other’s needs and feelings while being understanding and helpful
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and ability to work within a fast-paced environment
