Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU / IMC / Med-Surg

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined MS/ICU/IMC unit serving a 20-bed department with a diverse patient population including cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, GI, GU, orthopedic, sepsis, and pediatric cases
• Titrate drips including Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, PCA Fentanyl, Propofol, and Norepinephrine
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips and communicate findings to providers as needed; telemetry is remotely monitored off-site
• Operate and support use of respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, Vapotherm, Servo-U, and Hamilton ventilators in coordination with 24/7 Respiratory Therapy staff
• Participate in charge nurse assignments, float coverage to ED, Urgent Care, and PACU as needed, as well as interfacility float assignments
• Adhere to every-other-holiday and on-call/low-census rotation requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Demonstrated ICU nursing experience
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips independently

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ICU experience combined with pediatric nursing experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with GE ApexPro CH telemetry monitoring systems
• Experience managing a broad range of titratable drips in a critical care setting
