Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) on the Med/Tele unit is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. The RN will demonstrate competence in nursing practice and comply with the policies and standards of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide general medical-surgical nursing care to patients.
• Initiate IV therapy, manage Foley catheters, and perform dressing changes.
• Assist in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) for patients.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records using Meditech.
• Implement patient safety protocols and quality care standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and active Texas RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in Med/Tele nursing.
• 2+ years of hospital experience required.
